Welcome to CNPA's online forum!
At its last meeting CNPA's New Media Committee decided that CNPA should set up an Internet forum on its website as a value added service and resource to CNPA members.
CNPA hopes that the forum will be a place for members to converse about common issues in the newspaper industry as well as share great ideas that our members have proven to be successful in their own markets.
The forum should also be a place where members of the newspaper industry can ask questions of the experts at CNPA and associate members.
Just as with the Legal Helpline fostered by CNPA Legal Counsel Jim Ewert and the CNPA Reporter’s Handbook on Media Law, the forum will be a place to seek legal advice, clarification on a law or ruling.
Other areas the forum should be helpful with are questions on how to merge into multiplatform journalism, recommendations on software, and a resource for the best place to find help on creating blogs, podcasts or videocasts.
The CNPA Forum is moderated by CNPA’s Communications Director Kristen Lowrey, who can answer any questions regarding the forum. Lowrey will also use the forum to pool ideas for California Publisher and the weekly CNPA eBulletin. Contact her at kristen@cnpa.com. Her username is KristenCNPA.
Problems using the Forum should be directed to CNPA’s webmaster, Marella Kelley, at marella@cnpa.com.
