So unless you're living under a rock, you probably know (in addition to the Florida student tasering) that the New York Times is now giving away their content for free.
Finally! I, at least, consider this a wise move. The NYT is a major publication with an undoubtedly high hit count, but how many people left when they hit the paid content wall? Well, now that's all out in the open. I'm glad to have a chance to read what I couldn't before. That also means more views and that translates to more ad dollars. Enough to make up the revenue lost in the strategy change? I hope so. I'd like to see more sites go free.
