Holy Photoshop skills, Batman! A new software technology may allow for dynamic photo resizing... resizing that will keep the "important" aspects of the image forefront. You've got to see it to believe it.

What does this mean for journalists? For graphic designers, this means a part in their cubicle... Image resizing has been a long-standing thorn in their side. But what about the journalistic implications of a photograph that is no longer absolutely accurate?

I can see the appeal from a design perspective. It is pretty nifty.

But it also takes a photo and makes it inaccurate. If you resize a photo that way, wouldn't you have to call it a "photo manipulation?"
