A gossip blog wants to move into more traditional news? On one hand, I'm glad to see them reaching to write their own material:

“It’s no longer enough to take stories from The New York Times, and add a dash of snark. Gawker needs to break and develop more stories,” the job listing stated.

But will a group that began as a gossip page be considered reputable? Is this how news productions should grow up?
