A. No, there is no truth to that rumor. It is true that the newspaper industry is under financial stress these days, but print advertising is still the most important source of revenue for The New York Times Company. Over a million people a day receive the newspaper by subscription or buy it on a newsstand, and The Times makes a substantial profit. Print is far from dead.
